You review the overviews and tap approve. The agent does the research, the emails, the comparisons, and the negotiation — start to finish.

Renewal notices pile up. Premiums creep higher every year. Shopping around means digging out documents, emailing strangers, decoding coverage jargon, and chasing replies across weeks. So you do the easy thing: nothing. That "nothing" quietly costs hundreds of dollars a year.
The agent crosses every one of these off. You just review and approve.
Follow one real example — a homeowner shopping home + auto — from first upload to final savings.
Drop in your current policies. The agent extracts your coverage, researches carriers that write policies at your home address, builds a tidy folder, and drafts your first quote-request emails.
Example: 2 policies read · 6 carriers found · 6 emails drafted
Quotes arrive by email or you drop the PDFs in. The agent files each by carrier and version, builds a side-by-side comparison, and drafts the next negotiation — bundle asks, coverage corrections, price pushes.
Example: v1 → v2 → v3 · liability raised, premium dropped
Pick your winners. The agent writes acceptance emails, estimates your refunds, builds your new policy register, and sets renewal reminders — and never cancels an old policy until the new one is confirmed active.
Example: $312/yr saved · refunds tracked · renewals on the calendar
Everything reversible happens automatically. Everything consequential waits for your tap. These are the only moments you're needed:
The design principles that keep you safe, informed, and in charge.
Every detail lives in a plain-text file you can open any time. Nothing hidden in a database.
The agent never cancels an old policy until you confirm the new one is active. No gaps — not even for a day.
Your current premium never leaves your folder. Carriers quote blind, so they compete harder.
A late quote is always welcome. Each carrier moves at its own pace; you decide when you have enough.
It works continuously between your approvals — no babysitting, no constant prompting.
Branded comparison sheets in HTML or Excel, with improvements and trade-offs clearly labeled.
Shoppers who switch or renegotiate commonly cut 10–25% off their premium. Slide to your number.
Illustrative estimate only, based on commonly cited shopping savings. Your actual result depends on your carriers, coverage, and market. Not a quote or financial advice.
Same outcome. A fraction of the effort.
| Task | On your own | With the agent |
|---|---|---|
| Find carriers near you | Hours of searching | Researched from your address |
| Read & decode policies | Dense, confusing | Extracted into plain language |
| Write quote requests | One careful email each | Drafted for every carrier |
| Track quote versions | A messy inbox | Filed by carrier & version |
| Compare apples-to-apples | Spreadsheet by hand | Auto-built comparison report |
| Avoid a coverage gap | Easy to slip up | Hard safety gate |
| Get your refund | Often forgotten | Estimated & tracked |
Yes. The plugin is a free tool. You bring your own Claude access and run it in your own environment.
Your project lives in a folder on your machine. Your current premiums are never included in outgoing quote requests, so competing carriers price independently.
Never. The agent will not help cancel anything until you explicitly confirm your replacement policy is active. A coverage gap is treated as unacceptable — even for a single day.
No. Inbox monitoring is recommended for convenience, but you can use folder-drop mode instead: download each quote PDF and drop it into the carrier's folder. The agent takes it from there.
Personal home, auto, renters, umbrella, and life policies. Commercial, fleet, and group health/life plans are out of scope for now.
The opposite. The agent only acts on reversible, informational steps on its own. Every consequential action — sending email, accepting a quote, cancelling — pauses for your approval.
This tool gets better with your feedback. Tell us what broke, what confused you, or what you wish it did.
Assistance only — your decision governs. The Insurance Policy Premium Negotiator is a productivity tool that helps you organize, compare, and communicate about insurance. It does not make decisions for you. Every consequential action — sending an email, accepting a quote, or cancelling a policy — requires your explicit approval, and all final decisions are yours alone.
